Kiwi Owned & Operated

WHO WE ARE

A New Zealand whanau-focused business built on expertise, relationships and a commitment to doing it once, doing it right.

BUILT ON PARTNERSHIPS

Roading Logistics is a Kiwi owned and operated, whanau-focused business with a long history of servicing New Zealand's roading networks. Established in 2016, our head office is based in Palmerston North in the mighty Manawatu.

Since 2016 the company has grown exponentially. We've been privileged to work in collaboration with NZTA Waka Kotahi, many NZ Road Controlling Authorities, and companies across the private sector — from Transmission Gully to the Marlborough Sounds.

Our experience in asset management, contract setup, implementation, inspection, auditing, surveying, condition rating, traffic data collection and reporting is second to none. Our work is underpinned by NZTA, CoPTTM, TSQ2, ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 standards.

We are always striving to deliver projects in an ethical and sustainable way — committed to reducing our carbon footprint through innovation and the adoption of new technologies.

Mahi Tahi — Working Together

We believe the best outcomes come from genuine collaboration between our team, our clients, and their communities.

Mahi Tika — Do It Once, Do It Right

Data quality is non-negotiable. Our RAMM Level 2 qualified team delivers accurate, council-ready data first time, every time.

Kōeko — The Pyramid Methodology

We follow a structured, tiered approach to database management — ensuring integrity, ownership and long-term value at every level.

Our Approach

RAMM DATABASE PHILOSOPHY

The Matau (Hook) framework guides how we approach RAMM database management. A structured philosophy that governs data flow, access levels, and the governance of New Zealand's roading asset data. Built around the principle of mahi tika: do it once, do it right.

Te Taura Here

"The binding twine"

This aspect symbolises the entire roading network, all its assets, and the connection and flow of information entering the database. It also represents the never-ending lifecycle of Asset Management; continuous, connected, and always flowing.

Taumata Tuatahi

"First level"

Represents the gathering of information from the field and all civil works performed on the network. This is where contractor deliveries and outcomes are recorded for future modelling. Access is protected by training, SOPs and validated tools like Pocket RAMM.

Taumata Tuarua

"Second level, the backbone"

The necessary consultation and collaboration between all parties. Councils must maintain control of setup and implementation while meeting contractor requirements wherever possible. RAMM modules must always align with Council's long-term Asset Management Plan, not short-term contractor outcomes.

Taumata Tuatoru

"Third level"

Establishes the connective exchange of information within Waka Kotahi and Council internal departments — connecting datasets to Power BI and complementary databases. The Council's internal RAMM team ensures all required data is gathered, connective, and available through automation, dashboarding and consistent auditing.

Taumata Whakamutunga

"Can't catch a fish without the Hook."

The most critical level — foundational RAMM modules are set and governed here. Only those qualified and authorised should ever access or modify this level. Changes here have significant year-on-year implications for analysis and funding streams.

Me hanga tahi tāua i tētahi taonga tuku iho, me haere tātau ki te hī ika

Let's build a legacy together, let's go fishing.
